Well It's About Time!!

So, it's only been 3 years since I've posted! We've been a little busy! The kids are growing like crazy and we are busy running them to all of their activities. Annie is now 7 yrs. old and in second grade. Jack is now 11 yrs. old and in fifth grade. Jack is our hockey player. This is his 3rd yr. playing and he loves it! Annie is our figure skater. She did her first competition last summer and came in second! She was very excited. Annie has decided to try Irish dancing. She went to her first class today and loved it!

Many of you know John and I took care of my father-in-law, Joe for a very long time. Well, he passed away a year ago. We were fortunate to be with him for 14 years. We miss him everyday!

I am currently teaching 2nd grade at the same school where my kids go. I love my job! I work with great people and my class is awesome!

John is still with CMC steel and continues to travel quite a bit. The kids and I like to tag along when we can in the summer!

Fancy Nancy!

Annie has discovered a new favorite set of books....Fancy Nancy! She was in her room for the longest time today and when she came out, this is what she had on. I said "You look beautiful" Her reply... "No Mom, I look gorgeous...that's a fancy word for beautiful!" For anyone who hasn't read the Fancy Nancy books, they're all about vocabulary. She tells you fancy words that mean the same as other words throughout the books. If I ever thought Annie wasn't listening to the story...I was just proven wrong!! I'm afraid I have a little diva in the making on my hands!!

July 2008....Montana

There's nothing quite like s'mores by the campfire. Yum...Yum!

Annie loved her new cowboy hat and boots...of course they were her favorite color!

We went for a beautiful drive and found some pretty waterfalls up in the mountains near Lake Como.

John and Jack went on a 2 hr. trail ride and had so much fun. They saw a Mama Moose and her baby and they stopped for a taste of wild huckleberries. Jack was in heaven!! Guess what he wants for Christmas!

Annie was able to have a ride on the guide's horse before they all went out for the trail ride. She loved it!

John and Jack went on a 3+ hr. hike up a pretty steep mountain near the cabin, so Jack cooled off in the river when they got back. It was so chilly in that mountain water. Even he didn't last very long!

We went on a hike and a baby butterfly found Jack. It just sat right on his arm for a few minutes.

Riding the carousel in Missoula. We tagged along with John up in Missoula while he worked a little.

July 2008....Swim Lessons

Annie had a ball in swim lessons this year. She's trying pretty hard to keep up with her big brother, who we're pretty sure is part fish!!

Jack was in a class with all boys...needless to say, the teacher had her hands full!!

Buddies

Jack had to say good-bye to his buddy in July. Andy and his parents, Katie and Matt, moved to Illinois. We will miss them all very much! We wish them the very best of luck.
